Wonderful stay at Hyecroft! Andrew and Francis were the perfect hosts.

The twin share room we had was spacious (for our needs) and clean. The outside table and chairs were perfect for a quiet drink after a busy day.

Getting to go into the main house for breakfast was amazing! So spacious and inviting. The continental breakfast was beautifully presented. Great conversations were had over the two mornings we were there.

Thank you Andrew and Francis for a memorable stay.

One of the most enjoyable stays we had on our NZ trip. Andrew and Francis are great hosts and their house is marvelous. The views are amazing and all three apartments provide ultimate privacy as they are separate from the main building. For breakfast you're getting invited into their private quarters. Get ready not only for a great breakfast but for tons of stories and history from both of their lives. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

Loved absolutely EVERYTHING. Stunning property with unbelievable hosts. Francis and Andrew are top notch. Would move in permanently if I could. Would give it a higher rating if it was possible. This property was #12 of 14 different locations throughout New Zealand and we could not have been happier for the ending of our trip at this B&B. Spacious, spotless, well appointed, comfortable, quiet, etc. etc.... Hopefully we will be able to make a return trip. Ray and Suzanne

The B&B comprises three large 1 bedroom semi detached studio units. Spotlessly clean with modern amenities. Located a few kms out of Whangarei. However any distance anxiety is more than made up for by the actual location high up overlooking Whangarei heads. We sat out on the deck in the afternoon with a drink or two enjoying the view across the Heads to Mt Manaia. A perfect end to the day. Andrew and Frances will make you very welcome. They provide a great breakfast too while entertaining you with stories about themselves and the area. A really enjoyable stay.

Staying at Hyecroft Lodge was a wonderful experience, our host's Andrew and Francis had plenty of interesting stories to tell over breakfast where all guests sat down together to eat and talk of their experiences and put the world to rights.
The view from the main house was great.
The room's were very comfortable with a small kitchen consisting of microwave, kettle and fridge. There was a bottle of milk already in the fridge when we arrived so that we were able to have a cup of tea 👍
Everything was spotlessly clean and well decorated and maintained.
Andrew had put together a booklet about the property and place's to visit along with maps and time's to get there. This was very useful and we followed a number of recommendations. One highlight was the tour to the Poor Knights islands booked with Perfect Day.

Thanks you Andrew and Francis for welcoming us to your place.

Hyecroft Lodge is a great place to stay in Whangārei. Comfortable bed, spacious bedroom and living area, very clean and well equipped, great views of harbour from hilly site. And Francis and Andrew are delightful hosts, helpful and very entertaining. A lovely experience staying there. Highly recommended.

We booked both Queen suites for a four night stay with my wife's sister and brother in law.|The four of us raved about our wonderful stay and experiences. The hosts were fantastic to deal with and get local advice. Online booking was easy and communication always very prompt by email.|The suits were impeccably presented with every conceivable feature. Quiet, clean and comfortable. And the continental breakfast served in the hosts home was excellent. And the discussions with them and other guests was always entertaining.|Location was perfect. Only 10 minute drive to the centre of the city. But the accomodation felt like we were in the country. Open fields we could wander around right next to us.|Highly recommend. Price very reasonable. Will stay again.

When we return to Whangarei we now know where to stay. We stayed at Hyecroft Lodge a few weeks back.
Andrew and Francis proved to be delightful hosts and wonderful raconteurs. Conversation was wide-ranging often spiked with some great humour. It was a pleasure being able to sit down to a delicious continental breakfast in their beautifully appointed home, (a conversation piece in itself) and exchange banter with both of them and the guests who joined us at the breakfast table.
As to the setting, views down harbour to die for. Hyecroft Lodge is set in a rural setting, yet is so very close to Whangarei township, where we wished to catch up with family and old friends.
Our unit was spotless;, it had a modern feel to it with tasteful decor and quality fittings throughout. Very comfy beds too.
All in all our stay was the icing on the cake as regards our 3 day visit to the city and we would unhestitatingly recommend this 'experience' to anyone wanting to enjoy independence, while still feeling that little bit pampered.
Thank you Andrew and Francis .. We'll be back ..

Everything about our stay at Hyecroft Lodge was wonderful - the accommodations, breakfast, location. However the best of all was the hospitality, warmth and friendliness of our hosts Andrew and Francis. We greatly enjoyed our time at Hyecroft with Andrew and Francis and I would recommend Hyecroft Lodge to anyone visiting the Whangarei area. You will not be disappointed. ||||Many thanks to Andrew and Francis!
